Meru National Park
Meru National Park comprises of many wildlife animals which include; elephant, giraffe, black rhino, white rhino, kudu, gazelle, hartebeest, reedbuck, zebra, and hippo. Each of the above-referenced rivers is highly populated with hippopotamuses. Predator species include lion, leopard, cheetah, jackal, African wild cat, and hyena. Other than wildlife, travelers can see many bird species i.e more than 427 as well as snakes like pythons, puff adders, ostriches and cobras.

Wildlife is the most popular safari attraction in the park and the animals you watch include Grevy’s Zebra, Elephants, Eland, Bush Pig, Waterbuck, Cheetah, Leopard, Reticulated Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Bohor Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Python, Puff Udders, Cobra, Buffalo.

There are over 427 species of birds recorded in the park and can be watched by all travelers from all over the world.

The park has unique beautiful vegetation which includes thorny bush land in the North, wooded grasslands in the West and open grassland elsewhere. There are also dense riverine forests of Doum and Raffia palm.

The Park offers unique wildlife safaris as you watch the animals as you transfer with a guide and the animals you watch include; dik-dik, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos- black and white, buffaloes, elephants, reticulated giraffes, zebras, antelopes. Best time to visit Meru National Park
Meru National Park can be visited anytime around the year although the best time to visit the park is during the dry months/season from January till February or June, July, August to September.
